Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist - Arnold, MD
An immediate opening is available for a Speech Language Pathologist to provide full-time coverage during an SLP leave of absence at an elementary school setting in Arnold, MD. This contract position is expected to begin around February 1st and will last approximately 12 weeks, with the exact end date to be determined.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services primarily outside of the general education classroom.
- Manage a fluid caseload of roughly 45-50 elementary-aged students.
- Provide support to students with diverse disabilities, including Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairments.
- Adhere to individualized education program (IEP) goals and collaborate with school staff to support student progress.
- Perform all tasks in person within the school environment; virtual service delivery is not permitted.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed or certified Speech Language Pathologist credentialed to practice in Maryland.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in a school setting.
- Familiarity with Childhood SLP services including Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Knowledge of special education regulations and ability to manage a dynamic caseload.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to work effectively with students, families, and educators.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, 5 days per week for 37.5 hours.
