Speech and Language Pathologist in Cambridge, MD
A unique opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This contract position, based in Cambridge, MD, offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the communication skills and academic success of a diverse student population throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language evaluations and individualized therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
 - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
 - Monitor student progress regularly and adjust therapy plans to meet evolving communication needs.
 - Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
 - Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
 
Qualifications:
- Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
 - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
 - Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students.
 - Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders commonly encountered in educational environments.
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families.
