Pediatric Speech Therapist in Cambridge, MA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to provide specialized support within an integrated preschool program in Cambridge, MA. This contract position is ideal for a professional with experience in schools and pediatrics, ready to step in for maternity leave coverage from mid to late January through the end of the school year. Working 37.5 hours per week, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners’ communication development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs
- Provide direct therapy services to preschool students within an integrated classroom setting
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service professionals to support student progress and classroom inclusion
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates regularly
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to support educational goals
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC)
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) experience preferred; SLPs with pediatric and school-based expertise strongly encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of early childhood communication disorders and intervention strategies within integrated preschool programs
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
