Pediatric School Speech Therapist - Lowell, Massachusetts
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2023-2024 school year in an elementary school setting serving students in grades K-4. This contract-to-hire position is located in Lowell, MA, and requires professionals with a solid background in school-based speech therapy, including experience working with a variety of pediatric disabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing speech-language evaluation, therapy, and progress monitoring for students with diverse communication needs
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintaining compliance with state regulations and documentation standards
- Offering direct support and intervention tailored to the unique needs of each student
Required qualifications and experience:
- Current MA Speech-Language Pathologist license and DESE certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP); candidates without CCC will not be considered
- Recent school-based experience, preferably working with K-4 students in a public school setting
- Ability to manage a caseload involving a variety of speech and language disabilities
- Availability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) during the academic year
