Local Pay: $48–$51 hourly
Travel Weekly Package: $1,786
A school district in the Calumet area is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join the team for the 2024–2025 school year. This role supports a diverse student population and plays an important part in helping students access communication, social skills, academic engagement, and independence. This position is onsite, and may offer remote flexibility with district approval for candidates who meet experience and technology requirements.

This assignment includes providing direct and indirect speech-language services, completing evaluations, developing treatment plans aligned with IEP goals, and collaborating with educators and families. Qualifications:
• Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathology endorsement required
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) preferred; CFs may be considered depending on district needs
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP compliance, and school-based documentation
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience strongly preferred
Primary responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments and interpret evaluation results
• Provide direct and indirect therapy aligned with student goals
• Develop and maintain IEP documentation and progress reports
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support providers
• Maintain service logs and ensure compliance with district and federal requirements
• Support students using traditional and AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) interventions when appropriate
