A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for an on-site contract position in Calumet City, IL, supporting students from early childhood through 8th grade. This role offers a full school year commitment, extending through June 3, 2026, with approximately 33.75 working hours per week. The position requires a skilled professional who holds an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) along with Speech-Language Pathologist credentials as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois PEL for Speech-Language Pathology
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working within school settings, particularly with students from early childhood to 8th grade
- Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide individualized speech and language therapy
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Location:
- On-site role in Calumet City, Illinois
- No virtual or telepractice options; candidate must be able to work exclusively on-site
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders within the school district
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
- Comply with all state and district regulations and documentation requirements
