A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Calumet City, IL, serving an Early Childhood through 8th grade district. This full-time, contract position requires an on-site presence and provides the chance to work within a dynamic school environment dedicated to supporting students’ communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services to students from Early Childhood to 8th grade
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Required Qualifications:
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with pediatric populations
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work onsite exclusively (no virtual or telepractice options)
