A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Calumet City, IL, serving students from early childhood through 8th grade. This contract position offers approximately 33.75 hours per week. The role requires providing direct speech-language services to a diverse student population within the district, implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), and collaborating with educational staff to support student communication development.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience working in school settings with children from early childhood through middle school
  • Strong knowledge of speech-language assessment, intervention techniques, and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and screenings for students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Provide direct therapy sessions to students on-site
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes and reports
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP conferences
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff to support student success

Location:

  • On-site position in Calumet City, IL (no remote or voice-over assignments)
