SLP in Rome, GA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide specialized services for preschool-aged children within a supportive school district in the Rome, GA area. This temporary contract role covers maternity leave and spans approximately from late December 2025 through early April 2026. The position involves working as an itinerant SLP serving PreK students across multiple daycare locations, offering a dynamic and impactful experience in early childhood speech therapy.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to a primary caseload of approximately 13 students, with additional case management responsibilities for around 39 students.
- Provide therapy at 4-5 daycare centers throughout the district, requiring travel between sites.
- Ensure compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and maintain accurate documentation for all students.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Serve exclusively onsite at designated daycare locations.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) SLP Educator Certificate.
- Prior experience working in school settings, particularly with PreK populations, is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a traveling caseload.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and positive learning environment for young children.
Location: Various daycare centers across the district in the Rome, GA area.
