Speech-Language Pathologist in New York, NY
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support K-12 students across three school sites in New York, NY. This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluations and individualized therapy services for a caseload of approximately 40 students.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reports in compliance with district and state regulations.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs and promote successful communication outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP certification/license appropriate for school-based services.
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students in educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple caseloads across different locations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families to support student success.
