About the Role:
A K–12 school in Brooklyn Heights is seeking a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its student support team. This full-time position is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a collaborative, educational environment and is committed to helping students develop essential communication and language skills.
You’ll work closely with students, teachers, and families to assess needs, provide direct therapy, and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs), making a lasting impact on student success in and out of the classroom.
Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
-
Provide direct therapy to students with speech and language disorders
-
Document progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with school and state regulations
-
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
-
Support teachers and staff with strategies to enhance student communication in the classroom

Educate students, families, and school staff on speech-language development
Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Active New York State SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)

Experience working with school-aged children (K–12) preferred

Knowledge of IEP processes and compliance standards

Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
