Pediatric School Speech Therapist | Boston, Massachusetts
This full-semester contract position offers a unique opportunity for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in a vibrant educational setting in Boston, MA. The role primarily focuses on providing evaluations and consultative services for an elementary or middle school caseload of approximately 60 students, with assistance available from Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for direct therapy delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for elementary and middle school students.
- Provide consultative support to teachers and staff to implement effective communication strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Supervise and coordinate with SLPA staff to ensure quality direct therapy services.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation aligned with state and federal guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
- Experience serving pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings.
- Strong knowledge of speech-language development and related disorders in children.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals.
Schedule Options:
- Elementary School: 8:20 AM – 3:00 PM
- Middle/High School: 7:20 AM – 2:40 PM
