This position offers an opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in an early childhood educational setting focusing on preschool-aged children. The role centers on conducting evaluations for approximately 18 children, providing essential support to the developmental needs of young learners. This contract position runs from January through the end of the school year and operates on-site during regular school hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for preschool students.
- Collaborate with educators and families to interpret evaluation results and recommend supports.
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure timely completion of all assessments.
- Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an SLP (CFY and CCC credentials preferred).
- Experience working in a school setting, specifically early childhood or preschool populations.
- Strong understanding of early childhood speech and language development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to manage time effectively to complete evaluations within the scheduled hours.
Location and Schedule:
- Position located onsite in Cambridge, MA.
- Typical work hours from 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Contract runs January through the end of the school year.
