A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatric school settings. This role provides an excellent opportunity to deliver essential speech and language support during the Extended School Year (ESY) period, working directly with students in person.
Location: Bristol, CT
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:15 AM to 1:45 PM
Duration: July 6 to July 30
Hours: 22 hours per week
Settings: Two schools within the district
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services based on student needs
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Conduct assessments and track student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school environments
- Familiarity with ESY programming and its unique requirements
- Effective communication skills and ability to engage students in a positive, supportive manner
- Ability to travel between two school sites within the district
This position offers hands-on experience in two cooperating school settings, supporting diverse student needs during the summer session. The role requires in-person presence to ensure direct intervention and collaboration.
