This travel position offers the opportunity to provide speech-language pathology services in a dynamic school environment. The assignment runs from May 1st through June 12th and involves working primarily with students in grades JK-4, with additional support in a CI (Cochlear Implant) program classroom consisting of 8 students. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work across multiple school buildings in Brighton, MI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students, focusing mainly on early elementary grades (JK-4).
  • Support the CI classroom with individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of 8 students.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
  • Conduct assessments, document progress, and maintain accurate records in compliance with district guidelines.
  • Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs within a multi-building school setting.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), including CFY, School, or CCC credentials.
  • Experience working in school settings with young children, preferably JK-4.
  • Ability to manage caseload across multiple buildings with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to supporting students with diverse communication needs, including those with cochlear implants.

Location: Brighton, Michigan (travel position involving multiple school buildings)
