School Speech Pathology | Brighton, Michigan
A temporary Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available for the current school year from May 1st through June 12th. This contract position supports students in a K-12 public school setting located in Brighton, Michigan. The assignment primarily focuses on serving students in grades JK-4, with additional work in one classroom within the school's comprehensive intervention (CI) program.
Responsibilities include providing speech-language services to a diverse group of students, conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, and collaborating with educators and support staff to enhance student communication skills. The role requires work across multiple school buildings, with the majority of the caseload concentrated in early elementary grades and a smaller caseload in the CI program classroom consisting of eight students.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification (CCC, CFY, or School SLP credentials preferred)
- Experience working within school settings, specifically with K-12 students
- Ability to effectively assess and treat speech and language disorders in young children
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to provide services across multiple buildings during the contract period
