A temporary opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support an elementary school setting in Toms River, NJ. This contract position is designed to cover a leave, providing meaningful intervention and support to young learners in need of speech and language services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy services tailored to students’ specific communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments and document progress to ensure compliance with educational standards and student growth.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to developing strategies to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC).
- Experience working in school settings as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Strong skills in pediatric speech and language intervention, particularly with elementary-aged children.
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of communication disorders within a school environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff.
