SLP in Rockland, ME
Step into a dynamic educational environment supporting students from PreK through grade 12 as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. You’ll provide therapeutic interventions, assessment, and consultation services across several school sites, tailoring your speech and language expertise to meet a variety of student needs. Your adaptability and commitment will ensure all learners reach their communication goals over the course of the academic year.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility preferred
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is valuable
- Passion for working with students age 3 through high school
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability and willingness to travel between school sites as needed
- Experience in case management and IEP development helpful
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services according to each student’s IEP
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and document services provided
- Adapt therapy approaches to serve a diverse, multi-age caseload
- Travel between buildings as caseload demands
This contract SLP role is scheduled for 7 hours per day, five days a week, beginning July 1, 2025, and continuing through June 30, 2026.
