A full-time, in-person speech-language pathologist opportunity is available for the full school year in a K-12 educational setting located in Brenham, TX. This contract position focuses primarily on serving middle school students, providing specialized speech and language services within the school environment.
Responsibilities include managing a dynamic caseload with attention to the varying needs of students, many of whom require consistent and frequent therapy sessions. A key element of the role will be assessing progress and determining appropriate dismissal from speech services when warranted, ensuring that each student's therapy is tailored and effective. Collaboration with school staff and families to support student communication goals will be essential.
Qualified candidates will meet all ASHA requirements to supervise SLP-Assistants, with prior supervisory experience in school settings considered a significant advantage. Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems is highly preferred. The ability to effectively manage caseloads, document progress, and implement individualized therapy plans is critical for success in this role.
