K-12 Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
We are actively seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Gainesville, GA, supporting students across two K-12 school sites. This position offers flexibility for experienced SLPs and is also open to Clinical Fellows (CFYs).
Position Type: Full-time or Part-time, Hybrid (3 days onsite minimum) or Onsite. We are committed to finding the right fit for our schools and students.
Caseload: K-12 students across two schools.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services to K-12 students, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, administrators, and other support staff to facilitate student success and communication development.
- Participate in IEP meetings, student support team meetings, and other relevant school-based conferences.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and other required records.
- Conduct formal and informal assessments to evaluate student communication skills.
- Travel between two assigned school sites in Gainesville, GA as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Georgia SLP License.
- Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Teaching Certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are strongly encouraged to apply! Supervision will be provided by an ASHA-certified SLP.
- Experience working with K-12 school-aged children is preferred but not required for CFYs.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
