A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available at an elementary school setting in Quincy, MA, to cover a leave from mid-March through late June. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid DESE license in Speech-Language Pathology or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant credentials
- SLP credentials, including Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), welcomed; SLPA candidates with appropriate licensure also encouraged to apply
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children and managing a school caseload
- Demonstrated expertise in supporting students with severe autism
- Proficiency in using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices for effective communication interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services tailored to children’s individual educational needs within an elementary school environment
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student progress
- Implement therapy plans for students with varying communication challenges, particularly those with severe autism
- Document therapy sessions and maintain compliance with educational and clinical standards
- Utilize AAC devices to facilitate communication and increase student engagement
