Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity available in Bradenton, FL with a focus on middle school students. This contract position runs through the current school year, ending May 29, 2026. The role is based primarily at a recently rebuilt middle school with modern facilities and a spacious office environment, providing an excellent setting to deliver therapeutic services.
Responsibilities include managing a caseload of approximately 60 students, including one self-contained/cluster program for Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD). Candidates will provide speech and language evaluations, individualized therapy services, progress tracking, and collaboration with educational staff to support student communication needs.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Florida SLP license; candidates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably middle school level
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and intervention techniques
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload including special education populations
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be accepted for this role
Work details:
- Full-time, contract position through 05/29/2026
- Services primarily at one middle school with the option to work virtually through the VOCO program
- Focus on providing comprehensive SLP services within the school setting
