Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Riverview, FL
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide specialized services in a K-12 school setting within the School District of Manatee County, Florida. The role requires direct, on-site engagement at multiple schools, with varying start and end dates throughout the academic year. The opportunity is ideal for master’s level SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFYs) seeking a contract position with diverse caseloads and collaborative environments.
Location:
On-site at Sugg Middle School, Blackburn Elementary, and Abel or Abel/Tillman Elementary in Bradenton, FL.
Duration:
Contract assignment through the current school year with specific site dates as follows:
- Sugg Middle School: January to May 28, 2026
- Blackburn Elementary: Immediate start through April 2026
- Abel/Abel-Tillman Elementary: March to May 28, 2026
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology services to students across K-12 grade levels.
- Manage an approximate caseload of 60 students at Sugg Middle, including one self-contained/cluster program focused on Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD).
- Support maternity leave coverage at Blackburn Elementary, collaborating with a part-time SLPA and an existing SLP.
- Facilitate therapy and intervention at Abel or Abel/Tillman Elementary following a full-time SLP’s departure.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in educational team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Florida SLP license required.
- Clinical Fellows welcome; no Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) accepted at this time.
- Experience working within school-based programs preferred.
