Pediatric SLP in Lowell, MA
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position in a school setting in Lowell, MA. This role involves supporting elementary or middle school students with speech and language needs, focusing on evaluations and consults. The caseload will be approximately 60 students, with assistance from a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for direct service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify student needs.
- Provide consultative support to teachers and staff regarding student speech and language development.
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement intervention plans.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 60 elementary or middle school students.
- Utilize SLPA support to maximize service delivery efficiency.
- Document and report on student progress and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), preferably with School, Pediatrics, or Healthcare experience.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) highly desired.
- Knowledge of school-based speech therapy practices.
- Ability to effectively evaluate and consult in a school environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Schedule Options:
- Elementary: 8:20 AM to 3:00 PM
- Middle/High School: 7:20 AM to 2:40 PM
