A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought to provide specialized support for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade in a school setting located in Lowell, MA. This position offers maternity leave coverage with a focus on students who have severe autism and are non-verbal, requiring tailored communication interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist License (SLP - CCC and/or SLP - School credentials preferred)
  • Experience working with K–12 students
  • Ability to manage caseloads with severe autism and non-verbal communication needs
  • Strong skills in individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation

Location: Lowell, Massachusetts

Job Details:

  • Start Date: February
  • End Date: End of School Year (EOSY)
  • Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (hours per week TBD)
  • Caseload size: To Be Determined

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students on caseload
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication and speech goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members to maximize student progress
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with educational regulations
  • Adapt techniques to meet the unique needs of non-verbal students and those with severe autism
