Pediatric School-Based SLP | Lowell, Massachusetts
A contract position is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized therapy services within an elementary school setting located in Lowell, MA. This role focuses on serving students from kindergarten through 8th grade, including those with significant needs related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The position is designed as a leave replacement beginning January 9, 2026, with the potential to extend through the remainder of the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy tailored to the diverse developmental needs of school-aged children.
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans addressing speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student development.
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy strategies to maximize student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with educational and legal standards for service provision.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification or licensure appropriate for school settings.
- Demonstrated experience working with pediatric populations in educational environments.
- Strong expertise in speech and language development and disorders, including ASD-related communication challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
