A contract position is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support elementary school students in Boston, MA, for the current school year (CSY). This opportunity is ideal for professionals certified in the field of speech-language pathology who are committed to fostering effective communication skills in young learners.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in school settings as an SLP, preferably with elementary-aged children
- Strong understanding of speech and language development milestones
- Ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, parents, and support staff
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and hearing screenings and evaluations
- Develop and deliver targeted therapy sessions tailored to students’ individual needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with school policies
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expertise
