Speech Language Pathologist in Joliet, IL
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an early childhood school serving students from PreK through 1st grade. This contract role runs for the current school year and offers opportunities for both full-time and part-time candidates. The position requires no travel, as services are provided onsite at a single location.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and communication disorders in students ranging from PreK to 1st grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations and therapy sessions.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to program planning.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with early childhood populations, particularly ages PreK to 1st grade.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with young students and collaborate with school staff.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to supporting student success through evidence-based speech therapy practices.
