A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Blue Springs, MO, serving an early childhood center focused on students with autism. This role involves providing specialized support to a caseload of approximately 35 young learners, with an emphasis on communication enhancement and developmental progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to children in a specialized autism program.
- Utilize AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices to support student communication needs.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress regularly.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Missouri SLP licensure required; Candidates currently holding a Clinical Fellowship (CF) are welcome to apply.
- Experience in school-based speech therapy environments, preferably in early childhood or autism-focused settings.
- Familiarity with AAC devices and augmentative communication strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with young children and multidisciplinary teams.
Position Details:
- Location: Blue Springs, MO (Onsite only)
- Schedule: Full-time, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Contract duration: Immediate start through the end of the school year (May 28th)
