A K-12 educational institution in Blue Springs, MO, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support student communication development for the upcoming school year on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic school environment, providing essential speech and language services to a diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students K-12.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and reports.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting.
  • Stay current with best practices and evidence-based interventions in school-based speech therapy.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with educational regulations and special education laws.

Location: Blue Springs, Missouri
