An educational setting in Blountstown, FL, is seeking one Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and two Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to serve elementary students from Pre-K through 4th grade. This contract opportunity begins December 1st and continues through the end of the current school year, offering approximately 35-40 hours per week based on a 7.5-hour workday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language services to a caseload of approximately 50 students, focusing on articulation, language development, fluency, and other communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Support students in both individual and group settings to improve communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Valid Department of Education certification for Florida schools.
- Active Florida state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience working in school settings with young children, preferably Pre-K through 4th grade.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Candidates using Voice Output Communication Aids (VOCO) will not be considered.
