Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Bloomingdale, IL
This elementary school in Bloomingdale, IL is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract assignment running from March through the end of the school year, with potential for renewal. This full or part-time role involves providing speech and language support to a diverse caseload of 40-50 students with various communication and learning challenges.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering services primarily to students with speech and language impairments, some of whom also have Specific Learning Disabilities, Other Health Impairments, Developmental Delays, or Autism
- Managing caseload within the elementary school setting, working onsite from 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- Utilizing IEP software (Embrace) to track and document student progress and compliance
- Collaborating with educational teams to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
Qualifications:
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement, valid in the state
- Demonstrated experience working with school-aged children in speech-language pathology
- Ability to manage a caseload of up to 50 students effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, families, and educators
