This full-time, contract position supports speech-language pathology services across three distinct schools within a K-12 public school setting in Alabaster, AL. The role requires a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with varying needs. The position spans the current school year with an anticipated end date in May 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language evaluations and individual therapy to students across Chelsea Middle, Chelsea High, and Columbiana Middle schools.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports on student performance and therapy outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with school district policies and state regulations regarding special education and speech therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
- Proven experience in educational speech-language pathology within a K-12 school setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage caseload effectively across multiple school sites.
Location: Onsite position serving schools in Alabaster, Alabama.
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
