Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Birmingham, AL
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time contract position in Birmingham, AL. This school-based role offers opportunities to support students’ communication and language development. Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants will be considered, with supervision available. Renewal opportunities may be offered based on performance while on contract.
Position Requirements:

Must hold a valid Alabama state license and meet all state and local requirements for Speech Language Pathology.

ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY applicants encouraged to apply.

Prior school-based or pediatric experience is highly preferred.
-
Experience supporting special education students and collaborating with families is a plus.

Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
-
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals.
-
Provide direct therapy to students in both individual and group settings.
-
Track and document progress in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth.
-
Attend and participate in IEP meetings, offering professional recommendations.
-
Support students using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools when appropriate.
Compensation and Benefits:

Pay starting at $45-$55 per hour.
