Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist – Birmingham, AL Area
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists for a full-time role with school districts in the Birmingham, AL area. Position Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications to be considered:

Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Possess an active Alabama State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Have prior experience as a Speech Language Pathologist working with children in a school or related educational setting

Meet all local and state employment requirements, including:
-
Completion of fingerprinting and background checks
-
Adherence to Alabama Department of Education certification renewal requirements
-
Compliance with federal and state regulations for speech and language services
-
Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered for this role.
Typical Responsibilities
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will:

Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students' communication needs
-
Provide therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to create Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and set goals for student progress
-
Provide direct and consultative services to students based on their IEPs
-
Offer speech and language interventions that support academic success
-
Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans
-
Participate in team meetings and provide insights on strategies for supporting students with communication challenges
