Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Billerica, MA
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support a preschool program serving students with moderate to severe disabilities in Billerica, MA. This contract position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse caseload, including AAC users and children with complex learning needs. The role is located within an elementary school setting and provides valuable experience working with a growing caseload throughout the academic year.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to preschool students with disabilities, including those using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' unique communication needs
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings
- Adapt therapy methods based on students’ changing needs as caseload increases through the year
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts SLP certification required
- Experience working with AAC and students with complex learning needs
- Open to Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellows (SLP CF)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a growing caseload, approximately 30 students by the end of the school year
Schedule & Location:
- Located in Billerica, MA, serving a preschool program in one elementary school building
- Approximately 6 hours per day, 4 days per week; potential for 5-day schedule at 30 hours weekly
- Contract duration through December 23, 2025, with possible extension through June 16, 2026
