Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive school-based team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students improve their communication skills and is comfortable working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. This role provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ educational and social development.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs)

Implement therapy plans and activities designed by the supervising SLP

Collect and document data on student progress

Assist with screenings and assessments as directed

Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication goals

Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
-
Participate in team meetings and contribute to student progress discussions
Qualifications:

Active SLPA certification or license as required by the state

Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required

Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills

Ability to work independently while following SLP guidance
