Speech-Language Pathologist in Fremont, CA
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with certifications including SLP-CCC and SLP-CFY to support high school students in Fremont, CA. This full-time, contract position covers the entire school year and offers a blend of on-site and remote work, allowing for a flexible schedule with 80% of time on-site over four days and 20% remote for one day each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy services tailored to high school students.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure effective communication development.
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with applicable school policies and procedures.
- Participate in two rounds of interviews, including one virtual and one in-person.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required.
- Experience working within school settings, especially with high school populations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to providing direct speech-language therapy, with a strict no use of voice-output communication devices (VOCO).
