An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in school settings, located in Oakland, CA, within a high school environment. This contract role spans the current school year and focuses on supporting students with speech and language challenges through comprehensive evaluation and targeted therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of students presenting speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Provide direct therapy sessions aimed at achieving specific speech and language goals
- Monitor, document, and analyze student progress to inform treatment adjustments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care and educational support
- Engage with and educate families to involve them fully in the therapeutic process
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Additional Requirements:
- Active license approved by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology in California
- Master’s Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
