Required Qualifications (Illinois):
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet all state and district requirements, including:

Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)

Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist (Non-Teaching) endorsement from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or current Clinical Fellow (CFY) status
-
Current CPR certification
-
Fingerprint background check clearance
-
Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct evaluations and diagnose speech, language, fluency, and voice disorders

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
-
Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students
-
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes

Maintain thorough documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and student progress

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and service planning
-
Promote functional communication skills across academic and social settings
