Speech Language Pathologist in Bellevue, WA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the upcoming contract period from January 5, 2026, through March 27, 2026. This maternity leave coverage position is located within a K-12 public school district in the Pacific Northwest, serving a caseload primarily at an elementary school campus, along with responsibilities on the early childhood Child Find team.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct speech and language therapy services to 27 students at the elementary school level
- Conducting screenings and evaluations as part of the early childhood Child Find initiative
- Collaborating with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student communication goals
- Maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines related to special education services
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State SLP License required
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification mandatory
- Experience working with K-12 school-aged children, particularly in public school settings
- Knowledge of speech-language pathology best practices for school environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents
This in-person position offers the chance to impact student growth in a supportive school district setting. The role is contracted for the full school year (CSY) duration of the maternity leave, providing stability and meaningful professional experience.
