Job Summary
A prominent school district in Bellevue, Washington, is seeking a highly qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team. This position involves providing comprehensive speech and language services to students with diverse communication needs. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting student development through evidence-based interventions and collaborative teamwork within the school environment.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments of students’ speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with student IEPs.

Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.

Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to student success.

Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, progress notes, and IEP documentation.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP goal development and review.

Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding communication strategies and accommodations.

Stay current with best practices and changes in special education law and speech-language pathology standards.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Valid Washington State SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure.

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not required.

Experience working in school settings preferred.

Strong understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and related educational laws.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, families, and staff.

Ability to manage a diverse caseload and maintain accurate documentation.
