School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Bel Air, Maryland
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for multiple school-based positions serving students from preschool through middle school in the Baltimore area, MD. These contract roles provide an opportunity to support diverse student populations across community preschools, elementary schools, and middle schools within a K-12 setting.
Positions Available:
- Preschool Itinerant SLP: Full-time, M-F, serving community preschool locations with preschool-aged students (5 days/week, driving between sites).
- Elementary SLP: Full-time, M-F, assigned to Magnolia Elementary (3 days/week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days/week), supporting students PreK to 5th grade.
- Middle School SLP: Part-time or full-time option, M-Th or M-F, at Aberdeen Middle School, serving students grades 6-8 and overseeing SLPA supervision as part of service delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure in Speech Language Pathology (CCC)
- Experience working in school settings with K-12 students
- Ability to supervise Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for middle school role
- Completed district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history per House Bill 486
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy aligned with individualized education plans for students
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to enhance student communication skills
- Maintain documentation and compliance with district and state requirements
- Supervise SLPAs as appropriate to ensure effective service delivery
