School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Bel Air, Maryland
A contract SLP position is available to provide specialized speech-language services within a K-12 school setting in Bel Air, MD. This role requires hands-on, on-site support for students ranging from preschool through middle school. Candidates must hold an active Maryland professional licensure and demonstrate experience working with diverse student populations across multiple grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to preschool through middle school students in community preschool, elementary, and middle school settings.
- Provide itinerant therapy services at community preschool locations and support students at Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, and Aberdeen Middle School.
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as part of the secondary school role.
- Collaborate with school staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
- Maintain detailed documentation and compliance with district standards.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure.
- Experience providing speech-language therapy in school settings, particularly with preschool, elementary, and secondary students.
- Ability to manage caseloads across multiple schools, including itinerant services.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including supervising SLPAs.
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
Position Details:
- Contract Duration: Various assignments starting as early as December 1, 2025, through June 18, 2026, with potential extension into Extended School Year services in July 2026.
- Work Schedule Options: Full-time (37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday) or part-time (30 hours/week, Monday-Thursday with option to extend to five days).
- Locations: Community Preschool sites, Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, Aberdeen Middle School.
- On-site presence required; no VOCO or hybrid options available.
