A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide essential speech therapy services within a K-12 setting in Bel Air, MD. These roles are contract assignments serving preschool through middle school students across multiple locations. Candidates must hold active Maryland professional licensure and be prepared to work fully on-site without hybrid or remote options.

Key Details:

  • Locations: Community Preschools (itinerant), Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, Aberdeen Middle School
  • Student Populations: Preschool, Elementary (PreK-5), Secondary (6-8) with supervisory responsibilities over supporting SLP Assistants
  • Contract Dates and Hours:
    • Position 1: 12/1/2025 (or before Thanksgiving) through 1/9/2026; full-time, Monday–Friday, itinerant preschool coverage
    • Position 2: 2/16/2026 through 5/29/2026 (option to extend into ESY in July); full-time, Monday–Friday, serving elementary schools
    • Position 3: 3/16/2026 through 6/18/2026 (option to extend into ESY in July); part-time 30 hours/week Monday–Thursday, with option for 5 days, working in a middle school setting

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language pathology services to students with diverse communication needs
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans in accordance with school guidelines
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to coordinate effective interventions
  • Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants and support staff as required
  • Maintain compliance with all licensure and district requirements

Qualifications:

  • Active Maryland professional SLP license
  • Proven experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Availability to provide on-site services according to the outlined schedules
