This opportunity is for a School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a K-12 educational setting located in Bel Air, MD. This contract position will span the current school year (CSY), providing vital speech and language services to support student communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's goals
- Provide direct speech and language therapy sessions, both individual and group formats
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in educational team meetings and contribute to IEP development as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with school-aged children across K-12 grade levels
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders common in school environments
- Ability to design and deliver targeted therapy interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with educational regulations and individualized education plan (IEP) processes
