A temporary Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to cover a maternity leave starting mid-December through the end of the school year (June) in a K-12 public school setting located in Beaverton, OR. This role primarily focuses on Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), serving children ages 3–5. Services are provided in-home and within community preschool environments, mainly in Southwest Portland.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to young children in ECSE, addressing communication and swallowing disorders.
- Deliver services in home and community preschool settings, ensuring appropriate intervention plans.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to support each child’s individual needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports aligned with school and state guidelines.
- Comply with all applicable regulations, policies, and ethical standards of speech-language pathology practice.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working with early childhood populations, preferably within schools.
- Strong knowledge of assessment and treatment techniques for speech and language disorders in children ages 3–5.
- Ability to work onsite; virtual or SLPA candidates will not be considered.
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with families and team members.
