A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 public school serving students primarily from preschool through first grade, with some older students requiring higher levels of support. This contract position runs for the 2026-2027 school year, approximately September 1, 2026, through June 15, 2027.

Located in La Push, WA, this role offers the opportunity to work on a single campus that houses three school buildings—elementary, middle, and high school—though most services will be provided at the elementary level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to students across preschool to high school grades, with a predominant focus on early childhood (PK-1st grade) interventions.
  • Manage a caseload that typically begins near 36 students and may grow to around 42-44 by year-end, encompassing primarily mild to moderate needs, along with support for several high-need older students.
  • Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and participate in IEP meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other educational staff to support students’ communication development.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state regulations for special education.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
  • Experience working with early childhood and school-aged populations, with caseloads spanning mild/moderate to more severe needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with additional time for evaluation and IEP meetings as needed.

This position provides the chance to influence student outcomes in a close-knit, supportive environment with diverse age groups. Interested professionals with a passion for pediatric speech-language pathology are encouraged to apply to contribute their expertise in helping students achieve their communication goals.

Compensation for this position ranges from $39.87 to $69.87. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
