Required Qualifications (Illinois):
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet all local and state requirements, including:

Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
-
Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist (Non-Teaching) endorsement issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or Clinical Fellow (CFY) status
-
Current CPR certification
-
Clear background check and fingerprinting
-
School-based experience preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
-
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, fluency, and voice disorders
-
Create and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
-
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students
-
Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student development
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, sessions, and student progress
-
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to setting communication goals and accommodations
-
Support students in achieving effective communication across academic and social environments
