Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - League City, TX
Step into a rewarding role working with students in a dynamic Day School Program for the Deaf. This full-time contract opportunity spans from August 3, 2026, to May 25, 2027, providing the chance to support growth and communication for individuals from PreK 3 through 12th grade. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team to serve a caseload of approximately 60 students across three campuses, all of whom have varying levels of hearing loss. Your expertise will empower learners to reach their fullest potential in a supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- State licensure as an SLP, or ability to obtain prior to start date
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Candidates in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) encouraged to apply
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) required
- Experience in school-based settings strongly valued
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and diverse student needs
- Enthusiasm for collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and speech disorders for students with hearing impairments
- Develop and implement IEP goals in partnership with educators, families, and other service providers
- Adapt therapy techniques for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
- Travel between three campuses to provide direct and consultative services
- Conduct progress monitoring, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Effectively communicate with students and staff using ASL
